Daniel Demmel (dain)
Being always amazed by how entertaining advertising can be if done properly, I decided during my teenage years that I want to somehow take part in making them. After getting a taste at competitions I found myself working at (Carnation, Ogilvy) and for (Leo Burnett, Kirowski) quite a few agencies before even leaving college. Right after graduating I kick started eclips3.media jointly with a few friends, to be able to work at our own terms and without compromises. But feeling the need to know the world more than being able to in Budapest, I ended up in London, doing future designs for Sony and Sony Ericsson at a small but successful studio called UsTwo. At the same time, being half-Europe away doesn’t mean I stopped keeping an eye on projects running at home.
Lőrinc Sonnevend (sire)
Started using the Internet in 1992 at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences (now Corvinus) on a huge IBM 3911 mainframe. The web was without colors back then, all letter, no www, just gopher.
Five years later started his own web design company (called Webforce) and began developing websites for huge companies like Hewlett Packard Hungary, Synergon, Datanet and Állami Nyomda. 15 years in the business gives Lőrinc a wide knowledge of almost all popular operating systems, server applications, languages and web technologies. His responsibilities are monitoring the servers and applications providing the backbone of the site and looking for new technologies to improve speed, reliability and accessibility.
